People are upset at the arbitrary and confusing nature of the regulations. For example, in County-run adult soccer we are not allowed to head the ball and only the goal keeper is allowed in the goal box at any time. Otherwise, throw-ins are permitted, we are allowed to chest the ball directly under our noses, and we can crash into one another anywhere else on the field.
These are small, absurd examples, but these types of rules are making it very difficult for business owners in industries that government regulators don’t understand (i.e., all industries) to operate within the law.
Absurd restrictions inspire absurd reactions.
