“Family” Crafting
Romantic relationships can be a lot trickier when children are involved. My girlfriend and I are both single parents and our biggest relationship struggles have been in finding partners who connect with our children. To complicate things, we hope all the children involved get along as well.
In each other’s families we’ve found a beautiful combination of personalities. There is balance and respect and a lot of fun.
Last night we spent time building bracelets and picture frames from the Lego Dots theme.

She Made Me a Labyrinth
When we couldn’t make the Summer Solstice Labyrinth Walk at Delaware Art Museum (DAM), my girlfriend inquired about my favorite labyrinth pattern. I thought it was purely out of curiosity as I’m sure she knew I’d have something to say on the subject. DAM’s Labyrinth is in a medieval style and is my favorite to walk.
With this knowledge and a little research of her own, she discovered finger labyrinths and decided to make me one for when schedules and weather don’t agree with a visit. A finger labyrinth is one in which you go on the same meditative journey into yourself and out, but you trace it with a finger instead of your feet.
I’ve already lost myself in the lemon thyme relief path and I’m grateful to have a new tool created in love for my mindfulness practice.
