As we reduce the electronics around us, we’ve been on the lookout for analog solutions. Today we scoured the Pennsbury Chadds Ford Antique Mall for a particular device.
None of these clocks use batteries, and almost none of them were in working order.
Below is one of two little clocks we found today.
And these were a couple more fun finds.
I’ve always disliked that phrase. So much of what I’ve achieved has been through working harder than the next guy. I’ve also been blessed with a mind that gives me the opportunity to work smarter.
Each can be an effective strateg in its own right. In soccer I can outwork and outlast equally, or more, skilled opponents. Given more time, I can increase my skill and have that as a tool to supplement my tenaciousness.
Work hard, and while you do so, think about how to improve efficiency.
Dracule Mihawk carries an absurdly large sword and captains one of the smallest ships found in the world of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece.
The Hitsugibune is coffin shaped and adorned with green-flamed candles. This was the last detail I added and was an extra joy as we own just two green flame elements. I’ve never seen much use for them, but they are perfect in this build.
The mast is a scaled-up version of the hilt of Mihawk’s sword. That sword may also appear in our Delaware Fun-A-Day exhibit.
This is exciting. We just completed a few lessons on ancient Greek art in the Tom Woods course on Western Civilization. Euripides’ Medea was featured and I’ve just discovered that the Resident Ensemble Players at University of Delaware are performing it next month.
Teaching boys to approach relationships in this manner is disgusting.
